Howdy.

Well, I took Strange to the vet this morning, with the following
symptoms:
1) Yesterday (Sunday), he vomitted, I thought this was quite odd.
2) I cleaned the cage, and since then (12 hours) he only defacated
once.
3) Sometime since then, he's vomitted again.
4) He's become more lethargic, and seems tired.

The vet x-rayed him, found no signs of blockages, and couldn't feel
any, so proscribed an anibiotic for him. (I can't recall the name,
began with an A) (Actemycin, or something like that.)

I've given him a dose of that, and he's sleeping in a box on top of my
monitor, with a bowl of water. It was suggested I not feed him until
tonight, and that would give his tummy a rest.

We'll see. Any suggestions or comments are welcome! I'm afraid he' got
a blockage that doesn't show up on Xray, and he's going to get weaker
and weaker. If he doesn't respond to this, the vet said a Baryllium
drink, followed by xray would be in order to get a better look at
things...

However, she thought that was rather stressfull to a ferret, and so
should be used later.

Comments?

Barry

Ps: Chip, send this out quickly if you would, maybe someone can help
shortly with this problem! You know how ferrets can get sick and die
rapidly!
