First, I'd like to thank you, Bill, for making your moderator's
note aftre Mr. Davis' comments. Thanks for not leaving me swinging at
     the end of that rope!

Second, Mr. Davis, I'd like to respond to a few things you
     mentioned.

In regards to my mentioning the AFA; it was merely an effort in
helping those who do not have access to the FML, and its huge and
wonderful resources (its subscribers), gain even more info and
opinions about ferrets. I wrote to Bill privately, as well, and
titled the subject "FML and AFA in concert". At the time I was
unaware of all of the other organizations out there until Jeanne
Stadtmiller and Pam Grant brought them to my attention.

The key word here, anyway, is "concert" (as in "concerted effort").
My point is, I'm more interested in the benefit of the ferrets and
getting information out to the enthusiaists around the world than
watching my P's & Q's that may offend folks like you.

        In regards to the association of Marshall Farms (MF) and the AFA;
I've been conversing with Jeanne Stadtmiller and am about to approach
the president of the AFA about their association with MF. After
that, I'll decide what's best for me and perhaps share my findings and
opinons with the FML. This is just a heads-up in case Bill decides to
let my "opinions" go to print, so to speak.

Please remember two things: One; we can all work together to
improve all that needs improving or we can all complain that we're all
too different to share a collective conscience and just scrap the
effort. Which would you rather work towards? And, two; all that I
ever write is MY OPINION and I sign my name to everything I write. I
don't like to leave obscure messages that need further clarification
(or Connie Chung) to get the real message across. If I offended you
or anyone else, I'm not surprised, but I'm not sorry. I'm just too
     damn honest!
