I don't know if Smartgroups was overpowered by spam, or if it was the
victim of one of those timed attacks that wind up hidden in the computers
of people who do not have firewalls on their PCs and do not run virus
software daily (or close to that) on their PCs, or what, but it is still
undergoing repairs.

Here is today's announcement:

This has been the worst outage encountered so I hope it is all
straightened out soon. Meanwhile, the Archives are kept separately,
so those can help!

Adrenal disease in ferrets is NOT adrenal failure, nor is it Cushings,
and it IS treatable and should be treated because not doing so puts the
ferrets in danger of serious complications and of very real reduction in
quality of life.

Here is a great place to begin learning about it. (Hey, we all start
somewhere, and these days the resources are better than in the past,
so are treatments.)

Adrenal disease does sometimes have symptoms that come and go while the
tumor chugs along growing; though it is possible that she is whole or has
an incomplete spay. Light changes can be involved, too. More darkness
translates to the body producing more melatonin which seems to have a
protective effect and certainly is a treatment, though it is not the
optimal treatment as a stand-alone.
