I wouldn't bathe my ferret in "no more tears" baby shampoo. The reason some
baby shampoos do not sting eyes is that there are minute amounts of a drug
similar to novacaine in the shampoo. By law the companies who manufacture the
product do not have to report ingredients that constitute less than a certain
percentage of the ingredients. The shampoo doesn't sting because the pain is
being blocked. This prevents a healthy response to pain and could mean that
damage to the eye is taking place without the user knowing. I certainly
wouldn't use it on my baby, either!!!

I buy a hypo-allergenic shampoo from my vet especially designed for
animals for my pets.
