Hello all,
 
I got the results of the bloodwork done on Squirt today.  She has an
eosinophilia, mild anemia (34%), hypoglycemia (not fasted -- 69 mg/dl) and a
low/normal calcium (8.5 mg/dl).  The vet was thinking insulinoma and we
started her on predinosone 1 mg/kg bid.  I'm also worried about gastric
ulcers, but the vet didn't seem to be concerned about them at this time.
Fecal and ear swab -- negative.
 
Squirt seems to be handling this well.  She seemed happy to be away from the
other ferrets for today.  We'll recheck bloodwork in one week.
