I am writing for a bit of advice. My extremely spoiled ferret, Bosco,
seems to have abandoned his ferret food (8-in-1 Ultimate). We used to
have it in a cage in the dining room; he never used the cage except to
eat. We cleaned up the house, moved the cage, set up a food hut in
Bosco's room upstairs (technically, the guest room, but he's taken it
over). His brother, Elliot, promptly decided the food hut (to keep the
cats from eating expensive ferret food) was a sleeping house, so we set
up another food hut, which Elliot now uses equally. ;)

Anyway, Bosco gets 8-in-1 snacks every morning, as well as cereal, a bit
of orange juice, some fruit, etc. I also give him little bits of Balance
bars (high in protein!), and Ferretvite and peanut butter, of course. I'm
worried about his protein intake, though; he doesn't seem to be touching
the Ultimate, nor any other ferret food we buy and offer him. I keep
thinking about withholding snacks, but as that's the only food I actually
see him ingesting, I don't want to starve the little critter.

His energy level and weight seem fine, but I don't want to do him
long-term damage. Any thoughts/advice?

thanks!
Laura
