Hi all--
I posted a couple of days ago about respiratory illnesses and recieved no
responses-- I might not have given enough information in my first post. So
I'll try again. My roommate's boyfriend's cat has a respiratory disease
that I think is probably kennel cough. Their vet, being French, did not use
that term, but said it was a common disease in kennels and shelters (cat was
from SPCA), and that when dogs get it they cough and when cats get it they
sneeze. My question is, can my ferrets pick this up from my roommate's
hands, clothes, shoes, etc? I did some searching on the net and found that
it's considered extremely contagious, but not how it's transmitted. Anyone
who can help allay my fears will be profoundly thanked. My roommate will be
relieved if I don't change the locks on her while she's out, too ;)

Regina
and Cully and Amelia too!
