You can get Fervac D from Jeffers (800) JEFFERS or KV Vet supply
(800)423-8211. They come in 10 dose packs.

Sale of rabies vaccine is restricted in many states. If your state requires
vaccination of dogs and cats, or has a problem with rabies, it's probably
restricted to sale to a licensed veterinarian. In those states, even if you
could get the vaccine yourself, they would not recognize the immunization.
Both catalogs have lists, although the lists don't agree completely and are
a guide, not necessarily up to date. (States not listed may in fact
prohibit it, but probably not the other way around).

Jeffers spring 98 catalog lists the following states:
AK AL CA CT GA IL IN KS MD ME MN MS MT NC ND NV NJ NM NY OR PA
RI SC SD TX UT WA WV WY

KV 1997 Master catalog lists (not quite alphabitized):
AK AL AR CA CT GA HI IL IN IA KS ME MD MA MI MN MT NE NV NJ NM NY NC
ND OR PA RI SC TX UT VA WA WV WI WY

If you are planning on doing any traveling out of state with the ferrets,
it's probably safest to just have the vet do it even if it is legal in your
state-that way if there is an incident in a state where the vaccine is
restricted there won't be any issues about whether it should be recognized
or not.
