I hear that the cold weather is very bad for them.  Lats year I wanted to
take Betsy out with me somewhere and just in case I bundled her up real well
in her fav. blankey.  I ran into a guy who is very knowledgable with
ferrets and he said I should make sure she isn't exposed to the cold winter
air at all.  The get really sick.  I thought the snow would be fun for them
too but I don't want to risk sick babies.  i love them to much.
