Here's a shopping hint:

If you have a farm supply store around, check there for wood pellets.
If they don't carry the woodstove pellets, look in the horse bedding
area. They use a pelleted wood product very similar to the woodstove
ones that will work the same for ferret litter and isn't usually in
as high a demand as the burnable ones.
