I am moving to northern California in two months. I have two older
ferrets and have no idea how to address the issue with a landlord.
Telling the landlord before renting seems like the best thing to do,
but I'm afraid I won't find anyone who will welcome my illegal babies.
Can I get advice from those who live in California? Is honesty the best
policy, or is it better to smuggle them in and be careful to keep them in
the shadows? I cannot lose these little guys, so I want to do everything
I can to ensure their safety. Any west coast advice will be much
appreciated!
