Howdy!!
I take neither the credit nor the blame for the following. My father-in-law
wrote it. He does not own ferrets, and his wife does NOT appreciate it when
we come visiting with the Stinkies in tow. But, HE loves them, and to show
this (and to spite her, I think), he wrote:

                                                      Ferrets

Ferrets can be very provocative
Because they're extreamly inquisative
They hide in brief cases
Undo your shoe laces
They're impish, of that I'm quite positive

Ferrets are never ever boring
They can be very emploring
When its raisons they seek
In every corner they'll peek
Columbus, they beat you exploring

Ferrets are very exciting
And they really don't do any biting
They cuddle, they nuzzle
They gurgle, they guzzle
They're really very inviting

A ferret is a fine little fellow
In general he's really quite mellow
But you know where he went
'Cause he gives off a scent
He's there--he's under the pillow

OK, OK, It's not "Under the Sofa". But I thought it cute!
