I also raise guinea pigs and they use the same type of water bottles. At
recent shows they have offered a heavy spring with clips on each end. Sort
of like a bungee, but all metal so the animals don't chew on it. (Don't
think they could, but just in case) I just looked up on one of the vendors
websites and I don't see it listed. If anyone is interested, let me know.
They are about $.75 each and last forever. I can contact both the vendors
I know about and ask them more about purchasing them online.

Also, about a week ago, I posted about my ferret having the runs. The vet
came by and gave him a look over. He is now on Flagyl and Amoxicillin.
After searching the archives, I found that it is what most people had been
given for their ferrets also with the same problems. Thanks for the help
and ideas. He really hates his meds, but is quick to forgive when he gets
his ferritvite afterwards. He is acting like his old self again. So nice
to have him back! He was sleeping about 23 1/2 hours a day there for about
4 days. Really worried me!

Our newset addition has taught the original ferret all her new BAD tricks.
She gets inside the arm of the couch, under the box springs of the bed and
poops in the corners of the living room. Sheesh. Just another challenge
I guess. She is so cute. The vet looked her over also and said she was a
good looking silver. OK, now I know what she is. Didn't really care, but
am so new to all this, I didn't know what the choices were!

Have a great day!
Cyndy
