Dear all,

On the 15th of February my dear ferret Rommel has left me. Unfortunally
we could not win the long long fight against the heliobacter. He died in
my arms at the beautiful age of almost seven years after the only solution
for a better life was euthenasia.

His friend Poembaa is very ill. For the heliobacter he receives the
antibiotic stomorgyl. But to make sure that we did not oversaw anything
his feaces were sent to the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands,
which is specialized in animal illness.

The conclusion is that Poembaa's pancreas stopped working. This is
probably a result of that bacteria. The vet gave me zymoral powder. But
the dosis that I have to give him is too large to match the food. Does
anybody know a solution or a proper alternative?

Poembaa is on a diet. In the past he could not pee anymore and his had
bladder problems (stones in it, I do not know how to translate this
properly) so he eats that Waltham - feline veterinary diet. He is 5 1/2
years old.

If you know anything, don't hesitate to email me!

Yours faithfully,
Thirza M. Bronner
