Hi all,

I have also had a "burning" question about what color my little
Samantha-girl really is. I also know how to tell the true ferret colors-
i.e. Jasmine and Casey are both sables, Daisy a dark-eyed white, but Sam
is a bit harder -- I keep saying silvermitt, but I don't know... Maybe
some of you can help?

When I brought her home as a baby she was DEFINITELY a silvermitt, with lite
gray guard hairs, white undercoat, full white bib and mitts, mostly white
face w/ some black/gray circles around her eyes, hinting at a mask, but not
quite. Most adorable pitch-black-as-a-button nose, too.

However, as Sam grew and got older, her gray fur has turned black, but she's
kept her white undercoat, bib, feet, and (mostly) white face w/ black button
nose. So at first glance from a side or behind view, she looks like a black
sable mitt now, would that be correct? Is it likely her coat will get
lighter as she ages? I love my little Sammy and her unique coat just as
much as my other three little ones regardless... so just need to satisfy my
curiousity about this one I guess! thanks!
