Hello! I am having a hard time with my first ferret, Cleo, and I knew
the people on this list would understand. Cleo is about 7 years old and
she is the sweetest ferret. Recently, she lost the use of her back legs.
She also stopped eating and she was shaking. I took her to the vet and
they said she had cancer in her spleen and that she was very dehydrated.
They gave her a steroid shot, which they said might make her feel better
for a few months. I was hoping that was true. I really wanted her to
have a good few months before having to put her down, but that hasn't
happened. She was better for a few days and now she is having the same
problems again. This is SO hard, but I think I may have to put her down.
I love her so much and it's the saddest thing to watch her suffering. I
know as an animal owner, I have a responsibility and I plan on fulfilling
it, but I keep hoping for some miracle! Please keep her in your prayers!
