I am posting this on behalf of Kris Mewton, who does the Shelter Giving
Trees now...and has done the ADV+ Giving Trees in the past...

Risa DiVincenzo sent me a note that I passed on to kris about the ADV
Tree... Kris has been a titch busy lately and was not sure how to
approach this...

So...this is RISA's idea...and Kris wants to see it happen...

Ok...here is what Risa suggested...then I will continue...

I was thinking of an ADV memorial tree. The tree would have pictures of
ferrets who had (or have) ADV, and clicking on their picture would tell
their story and request a donation in their honor to ADV research. The
person choosing the ferret could donate any amount they chose. The
money would be sent for ADV research, and the shelter would know that
money was donated in honor of their ferret and by whom.

Just a thought of a different way to honor the ADV ferrets and the
shelters or people that care for them, and it could make a big
difference in the fight against ADV.

Ok...we want to go one step further...ALL ADV+ FERRETS...SHELTER
OR OTHERWISE...AT THE BRIDGE OR STILL HERE are to be included on
this/these tree/s...

And to emphasize....THIS IS FOR DONATIONS IN THE FERRETS' NAMES FOR ADV
RESEARCH...working towards the goal of finding a cure...or at the least
a vaccine for ADV...

I imagine it will take kris a week or so to get this tree up and
running...but in that time....HE NEEDS PICS AND STORIES...LONG OR
SHORT!...OF ADV+ FERRETS...

Send them to Kris Mewton at [log in to unmask] [for sites that do not
print the whole e-mail addy..that is sirk1 at comcast.net ]

PLEASE...anyone who has..or knows of an adv+ ferret, send the info to
kris...if you know someone who has/had adv+ kids..please write them and
ask them to add their kids to the ADV tree...

Again...this was the brainstorm of Risa, who missed having Kris' ADV
Tree up this year...and we would like to thank her for this great
idea...and I know kris would like to continue on with the tradition of
having an ADV+ Tree...he just needs ADV+ parents to participate!!!!

REMEMBER...whether your kids are here or at the Bridge...all are
welcome...even encouraged...to be on the tree...and kris or I will
announce the Tree as soon as it is up...
