Hi everyone!!
 
I'm new to FML and to the wonderful world of fuzzies!!  I just recently
bought my first little guy.  His name is Dusty and he is now 8 weeks old.
Anyways, I purchased him at a Pet Supermarket here in Florida.  He is a
Marshall Farms ferret.  Ever since I joined FML and read deeper into a few
web sites I've been hearing nothing but negative comments about Marshall
ferrets.  At the time of purchase, I was under the impression that it was
one of the best places to have gotten a ferret from.  Now I'm starting to
wonder if it was the worst?!?  (Although I would never regret getting Dusty
one bit..  Marshall ferret or not), but I'm just curious of why they have a
bad reputation.  I heard of the early altering, which mine has received
along w/descenting.  I'm also worried b/c I bought him when he was 6 weeks
and then read that they shouldn't even been weaned until 8 weeks..let alone
sold.  Can any one give me any info.  or insight on the marshall farms
name....is my baby boy doomed to having considerable health problems!!??!
