Don't mean to be picky...yesterday the ANON Poster did a beautiful post
in reference to the Rainbow Bridge, but the New Rainbow Bridge is missing
it's Author and Copyright information. I'm only replying to this cause
I'm most certain that if Steve and Diane were aware of this.....they
would definitely speak up.

THE NEW RAINBOW BRIDGE

By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill
is a lush, green meadow where time stands still,
where the friends of man and woman do run, when
their time on ear th is over and done

For here between this world and the next,
is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play, till
the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.

No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
for here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health is renewed,
their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.

They romp through the grass, without even a care,
Until one day they STOP and SNIFF at the air.
All ears prick forward, eyes dart front to back,
then all of a sudden, ONE breaks from the pack.

For just at that instant, Their eye's have met,
Together again, both Person and Pet.
They run to each other, these friends from long past,
The time of their parting is over at last.

The Sadness they felt while they were apart,
has turned to Joy once More in each others heart.
They embrace with a love that will last forever,
and then, Side by Side, they cross over the Rainbow Bridge......TOGETHER

This Author of this poem is indeed: (c) 1998 Steve and Diane Bodofsky.
All Rights Reserved.

To my understanding the copyright information 'must' remain with this
poem at all time. I know they are quite sticky about the copyright/all
rights reserved. (I don't blame them and fully respect that)....I had
requested to use the poem on my website..... no problem as long as I
gave them full credit and used the copyright info.

The poem above is also ever so lightly altered from the original
wording..... YIKES!!!

[Moderator's note: Thank you for pointing this out. I will include the
copyright notice in the archives. I should have checked better before
accepting the post. BIG]
