I was reading a dated article I think from the United Kingdom and the
ferret had a hairball the size of a cotton ball but didn't make it through
the recovery stage of the surgery. From what I remember something like a
vet tech told the lady that pinapple juice would help disolve hairballs.
I was wondering if there was any truth to the story and if so how frequent
do you give the pinapple juice and in what quantity? I have a female jill
that is a shelter rescue and Mickey passes a lot of gas. I have in the
past given Marshal farms ferret lax and it seemed to make a difference. I
was just concerned if the stomach had a larger hairball if pinapplejuice
was possibly a solution and that ferretlax was only greasing the intestine.
