Ruby's tail fur is thinning out

I've noticed that my little girl's tail is thinning out and I could see
small black dots on her tail.  I've heard of ferrets getting acne on
their tails.  Is this something that I should get her checked out at
the vet?
 
Does anyone know if this is a disease and if it is common in ferrets?
