We live in Columbia, MD which is halfway between Baltimore MD and Washington
DC. As my wife Clare has mentioned to list, recently Ben, one of our ferrets
has been diagnosed as having an enlarged lymph gland. We were told to come
back in a month to have it checked again. One possiblility is lymphosarcoma.
Does anyone have a list of ferret knowledgeable vetinarians in our area. We
want to know this 1) for a second opinion 2) in case Ben does need chemotherapy
and does need to see a vet often, it would be nice if the vet is close. We
will do whatever we have to do but already the drive to our current vet, Dr.
Stacey Di Maria in western Frederick, is rather painfully far, especially when
one of the humans involved is rather allergic to ferrets.
