Thanks to everyone who responded about Talan's tail. I've now had the
foster kids for five days and he has begun to pick up his tail when he
uses the litterbox. He also carries it for about ten to fifteen seconds
at a time while playing before letting it drop again. Someone suggested
that his muscles could have atrophied due to being constantly caged,
and I think this is the case. It's like he is slowly getting "back in
shape," so to speak.

They are happy, sweet, grateful kids. I think I am going to fail at
this fostering attempt. :]
