We lost our last ferret, Toby, last month to kidney failure.  Due to the
utter heartbreak of having 6 ferrets die very nasty and untimely deaths
(2 from kidney failure, 3 from insulinoma & adrenal, 1 from vaccine
reaction), we have decided not to get any more ferrets.  As much as I
love them and really enjoy them, my heart cannot take anymore.
 
So, we have a lot of supplies and things we would like to donate to a
shelter or shelters.  I would prefer not to ship, as the cages don't
break down, so if you are near Baltimore, Maryland, and are a shelter,
you are welcome to some of this stuff.  If you are near Burlington/Cherry
Hill, New Jersey, (or between Baltimore and Burlington) we could also
work something out becuase my family lives there, and we would be
willing to bring the items up on our next family visit.
 
Most of the items include (and I am going by memory here since I am at
work):
 
1) one 4'x3'x2' 2-1/2 level wire cage with black nylon coating, top &
   bottom-front openings
2) one approx. 18"x18"x24" wire cage with 1/2 shelf & top opening; one
   approx. 2.5'x2'x2' with no shelf and front opening
3) several water bottles
4) two food dishes
5) several leashes, collars with bells, harnesses, assorted colors
6) unopened boxes of 8n1 treats, Yogis, FerrtVite
7) opened bag of Totally Ferret (about 7 lbs left)
8) assorted toys (eggs, jingly things, etc.)
9) lots of hammocks, old sweatshirts, sleep sacks
