Every few years someone is FOOLISH (there is no good way to put it with
this being the gentlest way I know) enough to allow a ferret to roam
freely in a moving vehicle and winds up in an accident.

Now, ferrets are NOT the only free-roaming animals to cause car
crashes, but I have read of too many accidents like this through the
years which could have been completely prevented just by the very
simple measure of using a carry cage.
