In the Supplement to Pet Product News International, page 38 has a
positive educational article on ferrets called..Ferrets Are Not Cats.
These small mammals need their own species-specific items.

Marylou Zarbock, editor of Ferret magazines, Mary Vandahm, owner of
FAIR, Hildy Langewis, founder of Ferret Ware discuss more specialized
food, the lowdown on litter, and bedding for nap time.

Apparently colored clays in litter is the newest thing in ferret
litter. It can match your home decor. I have not personally seen this
anywhere. I would go for it, as I have free roams and boxes in every
room...and dribbles of litter everywhere in between. I could probably
have a rainbow floor if I did not vacuum everything every 2 days.
Groovy.

This was a pet industry directory and buying guide. Uplifting to see a
separate full page positive article...one of the very few articles in
this thick puppy... on ferrets!

It is in the front of this publication...the rest of it being over
300 pages of justphone numbers and addresses for animal products,
pet publishers, and services, and a few adds. Pretty cool.
