Hi. I saw that you wrote that your ferret fell into it's condition
virtually over night.. but something that jumped out at me was that you
said he seems to have gone blind. This interested me greatly. My ferret
with insolinoma went from mild staring that raised a few eyebrows to two
mild episodes of mild weakness that could easily have been overlooked, to
one attack so big and bad that the vet said she was very surprised that
he lived through it. When I found him is body was twisted as far as it
could go .... frozen .... he was breathing very shallow... he was cold
to the touch ... and his toes were BLUE. But we did get him out of it.
We instantly saw that he was blind. He had a few days of not eating
right and such and he needed some supportive care. But, the only
lasting effect from the episode was the blindness.

Are ferrets prone to blindness when they have seizures or even
cardiovascular events I wonder?
