In response to Gladys's post about ear sucking: when I worked in a pet
store (nice small place; the manager has five ferrets of her own), we
always saw the little babies sucking on each others ears, especially when
they were sleepy.  I think it's just a comfort thing, like human kids
sucking their thumbs (I believe i read that somewhere as well).  It's
cute as anything, too!
