**The advice dispensed by myself in reference to FML postings is not meant
to supplant the advice of veterinarians who are in charge of the patient.
If the patient is not currently under the care of a veterinarian, the client
is recommended to take their ferret to one.**

Little puffs of air is the amount.
 
[Re enlarged spleen question]
Mild to moderate spleen enlargements where the spleen borders are not
lumpy-bumpy do not need to be removed unless the ferret is acting ill.
Enlarged spleens, if they are causing problems need to be removed
surgically.  The cause of spleen enlargement is unknown, however there is a
high correlation with other illness (such as Helicobacter spp. gastritis).
