Hello,

I am new to this list and ferrets. We have been looking into ferrets as
pets and are excited for our first ferrets. It started out when my
daughter wanted to sell her parrot and get a ferret. (hey it rhymes) I
have done a bit of research and think that this is a great idea. So we
are working on adopting a few ferrets. Since we have no experience with
ferrets we are foregoing the babies from a pet store and are going to
adopt from a rescue shelter. I am sure we are going to have to watch them
with the younger girls, same rules as with the parrot But the older ones I
think will fall in love with them. We have seven girls so in the long run
who knows how many ferrets we will have.

I am looking forward to learning as much as I can about the ferrets from
this list and websites that I have found. I will probably need to find a
good vet that knows about ferrets so if anyone knows of a good ferret vet
in Washington state please let me know.
