This is for all the depressed people out there.Just a moment to remember
why we love them so much with a little humor.
Chapter 5-your playmates
Your humans expect you to play with your housemates,ferret or not.We'll
start with your fellow ferrets.
Big bad ferrets-If your playmate is smaller than you,drag them around the
house,and don't forget to put them up when you're done playing with them.
Humans reward neatness.When you are pestered by younger or more bouncy
ferrets,and can't be bothered to carry them around or put them up,use your
weight and sit on them.This effectively neutralizes them with a minimum
effort on your part.Remember,size does matter.
Itsy bitsy teeny weeny ferrets-If you are the smallest ferret in the
house,be sure to check out all the little hidey holes the big bullies can't
fit in.Use a measuring tape if necessary.Run for these places,when the big
guys want to play luggage with you.When you are safely in your spot,you can
stick out your tongue and give them the fert raspberry.Should they catch
you before you can run for it,scream as loud as you can.Humans always come
running if you use the right frequency.After they release you from jaws and
pick you up,make sure you shiver a little so you get a treat.
Equal rights ferts-When your playmate is of equal size,work together to
earn your treats.Wrestle loudly,squeaking and squealing,so your human will
give you treats to take your minds off what you were fighting about.
Important-Don't do this so often your human catches on.WARNING-Don't make
so much noise your human gives you a time out.Most of all,be careful what
part of your buddy you bite,or he may not speak to you for a while,and you
may get a trip to the vet for not playing as much as usual.
Remember,when dealing with your fert buddies,it's all in the acting.A
little ferret can can seem big if they act that way(ask Jasmine),and a big
ferret can look pitiful with the right look.
