A Tale of Some of Those That Have Been Lucky
Part II
Hey! My name is Hershey,
cause I'm a chocolate sable...
Some say I'm crazy,
and mentally unstable...
I was found on a street in Philly,
No, it wasn't by Carl Malden, you silly!
A young kid found me, under a van,
containing a suspicious woman and man...
She thought maybe they had tossed me,
on those mean, hot streets...
and she worried about,
my burning little feets...
She took me home to her mommy and then,
they tried to find me, a place for my head...
They put my description,
on the FML list...
Where the Fuzzbutt Rodeo Clowns,
my plight, didn't miss...
I travelled a while,
to Lancaster County...
where they have all these Amish,
and a wonderful bounty...
I even saw a horse,
Something I've never seen them before!
Now I live in a house,
all cuddly and warm...
There is a cat here to chase,
in the evening and morn'...
There are lots of ferrets,
to play with and wrestle...
Toys to play with,
even a sailing vessel!
There are snacks every day,
and food to munch, too...
and places to romp,
I can even play with a shoe!
I share a cage,
with Add-A-Kiss...
at other girl ferrets,
she loves to hiss!
She's warm,
and she's cuddly...
for a better cagemate,
I couldn't wish!
I've been here now,
for almost five years...
but I'll never leave home,
even when he cleans my ears...
I have to go now,
the cat is asleep...
I'm gonna sneak up,
and bite one of his feet...
Then I'll dodge and I'll race,
to avoid that big cat...
I'll show him a silly face,
and that will be that!
I'll dance and I'll bark,
and I'll show that silly cat...
why ferrets are better,
and smarter and fast!
Though some little furries,
don't have it so well...
though their lives are now,
just a living shell...
At least I've found love,
so this story, I tell...
