Brewers Yeast is helpful for ferrets who have diabetes but must be
avoided if a ferret has insulinoma or any other cause of low blood
glucose because it is a strong source of chromium. So, you'd likely
be better off with fish oil (NOT cod liver oil) or flax seed oil for
most ferrets for the Omega 3 Fatty Acids. If flax seed oil remember
to refrigerate it since it goes bad easily.
