Hey everyone,

Alright...well, sometime within the year (next summer at the latest) I
plan on getting my very own fuzzies...I'm a high school student (15) with
a part time job (to help pay for them :P)...I'm not sure what u guys
think about "kids" owning ferrets, but I've definitly done my research.
Since i was 11 up to date (4 year) i've learnt as much about them as
possible (call ppl, talked to ppl, spent time with ferrets adn most of
all read...A LOT!) and now feel I'm prepared for this kind of commitment.
I'm a very responsible teenager, an animal lover at heart and would be
ABSOLUTLY dedicated to thes little guys. However, as a responsible
person, i must first adress a few of my concerns.

1) I have to leave for school at 7:30 and get home at 5, then I will also
have a "student" job on one weekend day...how much time mimimum (wiht two
of them) is sufficient?

2) I go to my dad's every second weekend. He lives about 40 minutes away
and, although I am certain that after a while my mother will adjust and
be willing to let them out without me there, for now...what should I do?
Do I leave them at home with no interaction? Do I take them with me (oh
yeah, this may not be a good idea cause the house wouldn't be ferret
proofed and there's a beagle there, though they would have no interaction
on purpose)? What should I do?

Any advice is appreciated,

thanks

Bridget B.
