My name is Helen and my ferret is Moe,

Ferret symthoms: He goes stiff as a board with his mouth clinched shut.
No muscular movement at all. Coma like state.

Blood work negative on all account.
Ruled out Insulinoma, blood glucose was taken twice measured 140 both
times. Doctor said a bit high but not low.

Ruled out Aleutian Disease, no tpyical clinical signes. (I am only the
mother not his doctor, so forgive me with some of the terms)

Heart and lungs are very strong and clear.

Treatment so far: A shot of Dexamethasone .75cc (Moe weights 3 lbs). This
takes 4 to 5 hours for him to come around and open his mouth to eat. Have
been treating wiht Baytril and Pennacillan and then Ammoi.

The relaps happed when I weened him of the Dexamethasone, approxamently 36
hours later. But was supporting him with Predasone up to 12 hous before
the relaps.

If anyone has treated this condition or can give any help, please e-mail
me direct at

Thank you in advance for you help.

Sincerely
Helen and Moe
