There was an article in the Atlanta Journal Constitution this past Saturday
in a Q&A column written by a vet (which I believe is syndicated so check
your local paper or see the AJC at http://www.ajc.com).

He gave the approximate amount that would be lethal to a puppy (of baker's
chocolate) and again pointed out that milk chocolate has much lower levels
of actual *chocolate* so it would be very difficult to overdose on it.

Unfortunately, when I went to get this article, I found that the ferrets
have confiscated it for their own reading so I cannot give the exact
amount. Apparently they weren't too worried after reading it because they
also snacked on a package of M&Ms this morning.

I rarely feed them treats because for some reason it's so much more tasty
if they get to steal it. My Siberian Husky seems to feel the same way and
we often have to drag her out of the ferret's cage where she is snacking on
ferret food.
