Just read on the internet in the Houston Cronicle that a vet who read
about a shelter's plight to evacuate animals brought his horse trailer
to remove all of the animals until the hurricane passes. No ferrets,
but cats, dogs, g. pigs, and parrots. It's so good to see that people
are getting the animals to safety besides themselves.

Glad to see that the hurricane didn't do a lot of damage to the Florida
Keys. They have a nice shelter down there called Stand Up For Animals.
They have a big homeless problem with animals there. Maybe something to
do with the transient lifestyle some people lead there.

Let us pray that Hurricane Rita doesn't do the damage that Katrina did.
May all of you in the hurricane's path find safety for yourselves and
animals.
