[Response to "Rescue Moms & Dads. What would you do?" posted in FML
4930, 6 July, by Kim Fox]

Hello there (-:

Ok, I'm not a shelter but of course I was curious about his woman. Does
she want to adopt her ferrets back or new ferrets? I'll assume hers are
already adopted, but I can only imagine how emotional I would be to have
my babies back. Although I would try to accept that they were in a new
loving home, I would be literally begging and pleading to have them
again, or at least see them and that they're happy. All of this would
be my biggest priority WAY before thinking of adopting new ferrets. I
would imagine that if she loved them she would be feeling this way. And
if she doesn't love them, than what would be the point of adopting to
her.

Also, it sounds like this happened in a reasonably quick span of time.
If she hadn't planned out her actions (of how quickly she could care for
them again and make temporary arrangements rather than give them up to a
shelter) who says she will again if another unforseen event happens. Why
put a shelter ferret who needs a good chance of a forever home into a
revolving door home.

Just my non-shelter two cents.
Good luck with your decision!
Risa
