Dudes, I have more movies from the Toronto Symposium up on live digital.
If you go to
(http://www.livedigital.com/) ,
plug in my email or name (wolfy), then you'll come to my home site and
you can find my movies from there.

I'm writing so you can be on the look out for Vet Panel (esteemed Susan
Brown and a host of other experts taking questions). and best of all
....."Auction".

Just follow the link back to my main media/movie page on the site to
find upcoming movies. I must explain "Auction" however. Sharon Bearden
is the heart of many, MANY ferret campaigns, fundraisers, and groups out
there and most people don't even know it. I won't go into everything,
but Calendar, Melonton Implant access, IFC, symposium work, SOS, Shelter
Lists, Kouri Klub, and the list goes on forever. But those things are
insignificant. The important contribution she has made is that she is
a friend to all of us. A dear friend to many. She is one of the most
generous people I know. So, Renee Downs, and the rest of us pooled our
money to get her something special during the last hours of the event.
Sharon is an art lover, and admires Selinas work. She has a special
place in her heart for black footed ferrets. So, Renee bid on the
largest painting there by Selina. It got.... interesting. After a few
hundred dollars were bid, my eyes were huge and I was shaking my head
side to side because I know surely we couldn't do it. But you cannot
stop a category five! It's useless. So I hunkered down for the storm.
A fun bidding war ensued. Sharon was innocently getting coffee outside.

::rolling my eyes::
Ladies and Gentlemen, it went for 100, 300, 400, 500, ........ 1000, and
then omg, 1600 freaking dollars. Sold. But not without the cutest thing
happening. Selina jumped in during the middle of the bidding. In part
because we could have peeled her off the ceiling as this was a huge
thrill for any artist and in part because she felt so bad that the stakes
were so hi. Turn up the volume. Way up. And listen to her desperately
offering to paint an event better commissioned piece of work of baby
black footed ferrets. She apologies, etc. Then all the sudden at the
end, you see Renee blink a few times, then lean down and ask, "Okay so
were are we at now?" ::head hitting the desk::

This painting was presented to Sharon in front of everyone in gratitude
for her contributions and most of all for her being a friend to all.

Renee damnit, you still owe me five dollars!
