I have been off the list for awhile, but please resubscribe
me!  I hate to re-join on a bad note but here is my problem:
 
For the past two-three months my ferret, Niki (female), and I have
been back and forth from the vet.  She started out having a swollen
vulva for a week or two which decrease when put on antibiodics.  Soon
after, though, she began gaining weight, losing some hair, and becoming
VERY sluggish (nothing has been broken in my apartment for weeks!).
She eats all the time and eliminates normally.  She also sleeps all
of the time.  When she is up and about (barely) she licks my face, lips
and hands - vigorously!  She drinks an tons of water, also.
I have been recommended to Dr. Rosenthal, today in fact, and going though
my old newletters (yes I kept most of them) many people on this
list have had contact with her (she may even be on here!).
I also found the Nancy Hartman (if she is still on this list) also
had a similar problem with percy a few years back.  What happened there?
I live in NJ and am willing to go almost anywhere for help.
Niki is about 4 and 1/2 year old.  I was told maybe Cushings disease.
We have tested for diabetes, thyroid.. x-rays have been done...
I am getting scared!
