I think the National club is trying to pass the buck.  However we all need
to reply to the National Club that it is NOT just a California issue if
they wish us to renew our NATIONAL memberships!  I for one was a national
member and have not renewed.  I have not renewed my Sierra Club membership
and I've been a member since approx 1982 (remember James Watts?)  Maybe
they don't care about onsie twosies like us but they need to know that
their response is NOT acceptable.
