I got an idea from one of the ferret mags a while back (I want to say that
Troy Lynn had something to do with the article) about homemade toys for
your ferts. If anyone out there has access to someone who can crochet,
there's a definite winner:

Take one of those heavy-duty plastic bell balls (my favs are "Buzz Balls,"
though I haven't been able to find them around here) and crochet a "case"
around it and continue to crochet a long tail on it (about 7 feet?).
Then you can hang it from a doorway/ceiling or use it to go "trolling for
ferrets." I currently have three of these in one doorway and have made
three more without tails. They are an absolute HIT (every ferret household
to which I have introduced these can verify this).
