Jerimiah Ferretwise has been around as long as I've been on the FML.  And
the FML itself is now without a member.  There is a hole, an emptiness
that I will wake up to each morning when I read the FML until I heal and
the reality sets in that he is "not gone".

Sometimes, a ferret somehow bonds and melts together with an individual
as one personality in my mind's eye.  So what happens is that I simply
cannot think of one without the other.  And when one of them passes away,
it hurts.  It almost seems like a piece of that person, as I know them,
has been taken away from me when their little half leaves.  It's going
to take me quite a while to fathom Alicia without a Jerimiah.  I'll
have to rebuild a whole new image, no doubt.  But what I cannot imagine
during the hurt is that the future image will still include Alicia with
Jerimiah ... just a very different Alicia and Jerimiah.
