I wasn't comfortable using the freezer packs because I didn't know if the
chemicals were safe for the ferrets if it happened to leak.
 
I prefer to keep plastic soda bottles in the freezer.  You can find them
anywhere, you have an unlimited free supply, & they're not so easy to chew
because they don't have any corners.  Old socks work really well as covers
too.

I thought I was the only nut who subjected themself to this kind of torture.
I get the red blotches on my skin & my eyes & lips swell too.  Looks lovely.
But the worst is when you cuddle them close to your body - even through my
shirt I get so ichy I could scream.  What's really weird is that it doesn't
happen all the time.
 
I wash my hands after I touch them so I don't forget & touch my eyes later,
& I rinse my face after I've been kissing them.  Other than that I don't
really do anything...but scratch ;).  After you rinse your skin it
dissappears quickly...if you don't think about it.
 
I just can't imagine my life without them.
