Anne Philipps was asking about ferrets and baseboard heaters:

We have the occasional electrical baseboard heater around the house, and the
ferret room has a portable one in the winter. These have been completely
ignored by the ferrets after a cursory look (and in the case of the portable
one, a push away from the wall so they can get behind it). Not one incident
in nearly 5 years, whether on or off.

I doubt whether you'll have any problems with the hot-water type, as long as
they can't physically get inside it.
