Would just like to ask how you determined the ferret has a sore throat?
Are the gums/throat red? You state you can hear it when he swallows,
could you explain what you hear? Not sure I've ever heard of a ferret
with a sore throat. Some ferrets can get ulcers in their mouth which can
cause some swallowing problems.
