In order to remove pine tar from ferret fur, use baby oil, mineral oil or
vegetable oil to break down the tar - probably just a drop or two between
your fingers worked into the area.  Then, wash with a gentle shampoo to
remove the oil, rinse well and your ferret should be tar free.
