Hi,

I am new to the FML, but not so new to ferrets that I can get over Marshall
Farms! Most of the ferrets that I have (all but one) are rescue ferrets,
and I have 14. All but 2 are Marshall Farms ferrets. My private breeded
ferrets have had no health problems as of yet, but the MF ferrets keep
popping up with new ones every week.

I lost my very first after adrenal surgery, a MF ferret. As a holding
house for a rescue we took in a little girl who after exploratory surgery
was found to have 3/4 of her uterus inside her which was infected. Is it
right for MF to alter there ferrets at such a young age that they don't get
it right because of the size of these babies at the time of surgery? Is
there such a need other than financially for MF to send them off at such a
young age? I think not!

As it stands right now, I had one little MF girl have surgery on Monday for
enlarged spleen. I have had soooooo many problems with MF ferrets it's
definitely not funny.

Flame me if you want to but I have a right to my opinion as everyone does.
In my eyes they need to slow down a little bit at MF and make sure that
these babies are a little older, so things like the little girl with the
uterus left behind don't happen any more. Too many botched spays for my
liking!

Thanks for allowing me to voice my opinion.
