I had been searching for a solution for my 20+ year old cat. She is in
renal failure due to some iodine therapy (and probably her old age as well).
She (due to senility??) would sit for *hours* in the tub waiting for someone
to turn on the faucet for her. She wouldn't drink water the normal way - no
matter what I did. So - my choice was to either find a solution, or leave
water running in the bathtub all of the time.

I came across something that has turned out to be a PERFECT answer for her,
and a hilarious source of entertainment for me and my ferret kids. It's
called a "Drinkwell Pet Fountain". It looks like a filter from a fish tank
stuck on a water bowl. The filtered water runs continuously as long as it
is plugged in. The kitty loves it. The ferrets have me ROTFL!!!! Although
we have a bit of a mess at times - watching them try to figure out "what
they hey!" has been a hoot!!

It was a bit pricey - but developed by a vet, and worth every penny when my
pampered pets are involved. :-) I have the info on it if anyone is
interested.

dook dook!!
