Three years ago, I went to the opening of a Petsmart (or possibly a PetCo)
in Kansas City. They were stocking baby ferrets and I dropped off
literature for the employees and the purchasers. I followed up on the
store, because the kits had no tattoos but the manager honestly thought
they were MF kits. I called the district office, and after a couple of
weeks of calling, they found out that they were buying kits from a regional
distributor who was telling them that the kits were MF when in fact they
were not. The store then stopped selling kits because of all the problems.

I just point this out because it's important to blame the right people, and
even the best intentioned pet store people can be misinformed, as the above
example shows.
